I do way too much driving around here... probably even more than when I lived in Arlington.

I think my photo for this day should've been of Doumar's, though... I had an exciting lunch there. Maybe next time...

Eeeeee! Yay, it's official... I'm an EVMS Grad student :)

This really made me laugh out loud. Someone lost his/her CD of Good Sh*t...

Here's Snicker-boo saying Hi to Okinawa :)

August 18th, 2009

I think I took this at the time because I was so exhausted. After getting 10 hours of sleep all summer long... I was not used to this abrupt change in sleep pattern.

August 17th, 2009

First day of grad school! It was very overwhelming, but also exciting. I'm so glad I decided to pursue my MPH.

One last afternoon beach trip to North Shore...

August 15th, 2009

My last weekend to soak up the sun and waves at the beach. This was at Chicks beach off the Chesapeake Bay.

I'd love to live by here.

Best karaoke bar in the area... (in Norfolk). So much fun!

August 13th, 2009

Nothing like an evening cup of mango tea to relax me for my first work day.

August 12th, 2009

I spent an afternoon helping Tara with an art project. I would love for my house to look like this in real life :)

August 11th, 2009

I know that it has taken me some time, yet again, to put some new photos up and it's because my summer vacation is officially over. Since they say pictures speak a thousand words, you can likely guess what I've been up to...

Red velvet cupcake from Just Cupcakes at Hilltop West. Yum!

August 10th, 2009

Summer is quickly coming to an end... part-time work begins soon!

August 9th, 2009

Accompanying Brian to get tattooed...

So happy he came to visit, even if it was just for a day :)

Oh the joy of reading...

August 7th, 2009

Here is my good friend, April, from high school! It has been really great to reconnect with old friends. :)

August 6th, 2009

Over yummy gelato and crepes, Tara and I said bon voyage to Chris and Jules before they made their way cross-country to California. I'll miss you guys!!!

Not the greatest shot, but should I make it permanent?
 Yes? No? Maybe?

August 4th, 2009

I live very, very close to the Virginia Beach Farmer's Market (it is literally just down the road), and I'm so sad to admit this, but it was my first time going there today. I'm not sure why I never put any effort into going before. Unlike other Farmers' Markets, this is an outdoor structure, open almost everyday of the week (they don't just set-up on a main street once a week, or anything like that). Although it's a tad more pricey than the average grocery store, I will try to make it a point to buy most of my fresh produce from there from now on.

This isn't the greatest photo, but it was my attempt to capture my favorite spot on I-64. It's Queens Creek in Williamsburg. It sounds silly, but every time I pass this little creek, it just makes me so happy...

August 2nd, 2009

Sunday was also a great day, but I think this was my favorite part... Blowing bubbles with my nephew, Aris. He would scream and smile every time bubbles surrounded him. It absolutely made my day!

August 1st, 2009

Saturday was such a fun day celebrating Paty's birthday :)
We headed to the Asian Festival in Reston, VA and visited the Philippines...

... Korea...

... and Thailand...

... And made it back for a night out :)

July 31st, 2009

With the exception of my old apartment being different, it really didn't feel like I left my old place. I did many of the things that I used to routinely do like walk through the Lyon Village neighborhood to get to Clarendon. I love that neighborhood; it is such a cute place... each home filled with so much character. I'm so glad I got to capture it. Here are some shots I took after a quick storm.

July 30th, 2009

I spent a rather long weekend back in Arlington/DC which was a lot of fun. Here I am with my old roomie at 2 Amys in DC. Very, very good pizza! Yum!

We're getting more and more sporadic thunderstorms now which always put a damper on my "plans." They're not so bad, though; it could be worse.

July 28th, 2009

Garden shops are my new favorite places to go because of the decor! They all involve little songbirds... I just adore it! Although I've done very little gardening here at home, I still continue to imagine what I can do... especially once I have a little house of my own.

I really want this apron!

Here is my collection of seashells picked by the seashore :)
