My heart is broken. My Nanay passed away on Friday night after being chronically ill for the past eight months. As much as I wish that we could've all been there with her during her last days, I know she knows that she was loved, and I know that she's in a much better place where she is no longer hurting. Now, she can spend all day gardening, playing with cats, and eating whatever she wants. She's my angel now.
Rest in peace, Nanay. I love you so much.

After such a loss, it's sometimes hard to find things around you that can make you feel happy... but somehow, there's comfort in knowing that seasons will always change and life will continue to go on...
