So since the New Year, in an attempt to avoid laziness, I've been exercising regularly (at least 3 to 4 times a week which is more than I've ever done, really, especially during the winter). I wouldn't really call the exercising a New Year's resolution, but it sure has me feeling incredible! Not only do I feel great physically, but the time I've dedicated to exercising has been very meditative for me. I read the first couple of pages of Murakami's What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, and I agree with a lot of his sentiments... "No matter how mundane some action might appear, keep at it long enough and it becomes a contemplative, even meditative act." I guess that's why dish-washing and laundry-folding are also meditative acts for me ;)

Snickers and I had to go back to the vet so she could get a booster shot. She may look happy here, but she was actually a nervous wreck... my poor baby!

After a long drive home, it was nice to spend the evening playing with Maxine, April's little niece. She's such a girly-girl, I love it! She should meet my nephew Ariston ;)

I had a fun-filled Saturday catching up with old friends!
I'm soooooo happy that I finally got to see Mama Irene and Baby Emilio!!!
He's so handsome! ♥
I also got to have a night out with some of my favorite people! Here I am with Eirene and Sarah in their apartment :)

And we ended the evening with a late-night stop at the Washington Monument!
I never thought I'd say it, but I do miss DC!

Snickers and I are at Northern Virginia for the long weekend. She's soooooo happy to play with her friend Sydney (it's her only other dog-friend)! Aren't they so cute together???

I never thought I'd be so happy to put on scrubs (my professional wardrobe is lacking, so when I don't have to plan an outfit, it's a huge relief to put them on!). I've been volunteering at the free clinic for sometime now, and have recently been able to work with patients. It's almost strange just how right it feels, for me, to work with patients again.

On my trip to Ulta, I came across this hairstyle, and I just adore it! Do you think I can grow my hair out to that length... it really isn't that long, right?

I went to my first Norfolk Admirals game (well, first hockey game, really) last night! Although we lost, I still had a fun time!
On a separate note, later that night, I met Jo Koy, a Filipino American comedian who you can often see on E!'s Chelsea Lately and a variety of other shows. He's such a nice guy! He performed at Funny Bone, and although I didn't get to see the show (it was sold out), I heard he did a really great job!
